[ As a small glimmer of hope on an otherwise bleak Haven landscape, Cecil has gotten his hands on a piece of technology he is probably not supposed to have. Which means it's important that he does not keep it. That he gets rid of it as soon as possible. That some scientist has it. And after meeting Yomiel down there, after being reminded of that day, and the days after... there is one particular scientist Cecil has on his mind for this.

He calls Wally's phone, and he gets straight to the point because, well. This is important. And not something he really wants to discuss over the network. ]

Hello, Wally? How are you? Where are you? Are you somewhere we could meet?

[ of all the people calling to check up on him or otherwise ask him favors, cecil is probably one of the last people wally expects to give him a call. it takes him so much by surprise, he still sounds fairly taken aback that cecil is calling him at all when he picks up the phone and answers. ]

Cecil? Uh, yeah, I mean, I'm — [ slow down cecil, not too many questions at once! ] I'm fine. Well, better. I guess. Why, what's up? I'm on my way back to the apartment, if you want to meet there. Or somewhere else, it doesn't really matter.

What about Jonathan's lab? Would you meet me here, instead? There is something I'd like to discuss with you, specifically. [ You, and not... you know. A demon. ]

...It is good to hear from you again, Wally.

Yeah. [ it's good to be him again, though he's only slightly on edge about what cecil could possibly want to discuss with him. ] Yeah, that's cool, I'll head on over there. See you soon, Cecil.

[ and a few minutes later, he arrives at jonathan's lab, waving awkwardly as he walks in. ]

Hey.

[ Awkward waves are part of being a scientist, aren't they? Cecil thinks it's adorable. He smiles and stands. ]

Hello, Wally. You... probably noticed what happened to the garden. There was a lot down there. A lot we were not supposed to find. [ He digs in his bag and pulls out the rebel's phone, and offers it to Wally. ] Including this, which I am sure I was not supposed to take.

Uh, yeah, I saw... Me and underground facilities don't really have a great history — I mean, yeah, last time I was in one I rescued one of my best friends from a cloning lab but then we kind of almost died when the scientist overseeing Project Kr went all Incredible Bulk on us and the whole building collapsed on us so... [ wally stares at the phone with an arch of his eyebrow. is... cecil giving it to him? why? he shifts his weight uncomfortably. ] Um. Anyway, are you... giving me that?

[ From the sound of that little story, it happened pre-Haven. So, interested though he is, Cecil doesn't pry. ...Right now, anyway. ]

I am, yes. To do science with.

It is broken, but it was with a notebook that had the names Jason and Stefan in it. I think it belongs to a rebel named Caroline.

It's something very important, for its potential. For the hope it represents. Please take care of it.
